Around 600 Achilles 24 were built from 1968 to 1985 with some completed from kits by their owners. With her moderate beam and fine lines the Achilles 24 has an easily driven well balanced hull. The hull is built stringly of hand-laid GRP with a balsawood sandwich deck. A fin keel with iron bulb and 596kg ballast delivers excellent seakeeping qualities.
The engine is a 3.3Hp Mariner outboard which is located inboard, through its well in the cockpit.

The Achilles design is hard to fault and exciting to sail whether you race or cruise. This yacht comes from a fine pedigree of performance and has a good set of sails. She would make a safe starter boat for any keen new sailor, or for an experienced sailor who just wants to tinker or race.
