This boat is owned by a professional yacht skipper. His plan was to restore the boat with a view to sailing her from Europe to Australia.
The vendor reckons he spent £100K on the boat which includes the following:
He took the hull back to its bare mahogany cold moulded hull and rebuilt the hull and coated it in 5 layers of Wests epoxy before painting it with Hempels epoxy 2 part paint system and then have had it painted every 2 years since so as to build up the paint integrity and layers ensuring thickness.
He had a new Formula marine mast manufactured in 2014 to replace the original, not that there was anything wrong with the original mast. He just wanted a new one.
New Dyform rigging and running rigging replaced 2014.
Sails are woven Dynema Hydranet and cost 20K gbp alone for main and foresail. Purchased in 2014.
Winches are all Andersen winches and cost 15K in 2014 as well to replace the Harken racing winches on board.
Engine is a Nanni 50hp and has 240 hours on it as is the hydraulic propulsion installed 2014.
Autopilot is a Garmin/Jefa setup and also installed at the time.
New Battery install 2021 and wiring renewed.
New sprayhood 2021.
The restoration was nearing completion when the vendor decided that the trip to Australia was unlikely to be undertaken because his time is taken sailing other people’s yachts.
