Commentaires du Broker
Preliminary Details: awaiting confirmation by owner.
The Golden Hind is noted for being a very well balanced boat and this is number 135, completed February 1974. Many of these boats have successfully crossed the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans. The bilge keels aid windward performance and act as stabilizers in heavy seas and when running down wind. They also ensure that she stays upright when she dries out. This yacht was a pleasure to list. She has purposefully been kept completely original and in good condition. The cockpit is roomy and comfortable for a boat of her size and the shallow companionway offers an easy access to below decks. The interior is set out to give the maximum amount of space available and there is plenty of storage under the seats and in the huge cockpit lockers. I especially liked the ease with which the engine can be completely exposed or the option of only exposing a necessary portion. I was rather amused when on enquiring about the log I was presented with a circular object attached to string with knots tied at intervals- this is real sailing, no mod-cons here!
