Single Lehman 120 HP six cylinder diesel drives a bronze three bladed propellor on a 1 1/2" SS shaft through a Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission with 2.10:1 reduction gear ratio.
Fuel Tanks:
One (1) steel tank, plus two (2) aluminum tanks - 225 gallons total fuel capacity.
6/21 West Coast Tank polished the fuel and inspected the steel tank and found it in good condition.
Electrical:

Because of excellent materials and craftsmanship the Grand Banks wooden classic yachts have proven to be long-lived vessels. They are typically constructed of Philippine Mahogany on Yakal hardwood framing with bronze fasteners. The keel is 8 inch solid Philippine Mahogany timber. These kind of high quality materials in long dimensions are a rare find today in wooden boats and have survived the test of time.
The 2021 survey findings found this boat in sound condition as noted below:
"All underwater planks, seams and plugs are tight. No structural defects."
"1 3/4" mahogany transverse stringers. 3" longitudinal stringers. All in serviceable condition."
"No broken frames sighted where accessible."
"Bronze fasteners. Removed two (2) fasteners: #1 from starboard garboard plank; #2 is port side, one plank above garboard plank. Both from under the engine. Serviceable condition."
Bronze is used extensively in these early Grand Banks 32 wooden boats. This includes cast bronze stanchions, chocks and cleats, and other hardware.
Decks are laid teak over plywood and were found tight to sub-flooring. Only minor delamination was found in three small areas around deck plates in the cockpit.
The cabin superstructure is painted plywood and is in good condition per the survey:
"Plywood finished in white paint. Percussion sounded every 4" to 6" with a phenolic hammer. No delamination or structural defects. All windows and doors are structurally sound and appear water tight."

With wide teak side decks and cockpit and high protected bulwarks with bronze stanchions the Grand Banks 32 is a classic sea boat.
From the aft cockpit enter the main salon through a teak sliding door. To starboard is a dinette that converts to a double berth. Opposite is a settee which also converts to a berth. Ample storage can be found beneath the settee and dinette seating as well as in drawers forward to starboard. A teak parquet floor and all wood is finished in satin varnish or white painted bulkheads. All interior cushions are tan vinyl and in good condition.
Moving forward to starboard is the lower helm. This features a classic spoked wooden wheel, engine controls and instrumentation, radios and navigation electronics. Large windows provide excellent visibility all around the salon. Sliding windows and a centerline forward window open for ventilation.
Opposite the helm to port is the galley. This features a Corian molded countertop with sink. A hinged panel lifts up to reveal the three burner propane cooktop. This appliance does not have an attached oven. A microwave oven and coffeemaker are aboard. Refrigeration is in a classic teak cabinet structure in the galley cabinetry.
Forward and down steps is a private cabin with convertible v-berth, marine toilet compartment, and ample storage in drawers and lockers. Surfaces are teak and holly flooring, teak trim, and white painted bulkheads and paneling. The marine toilet compartment on these boats is very roomy and features a large mirror, handheld shower wand, and a teak grate over the flooring. The shower drains to a dedicated pump for discharge.
