Commentaires du Broker
The great thing about Jeanneau’s 1980’s designs is that they don’t seem to date. This very well kept Jeanneau Arcadia, for sale with Boatshed Port Solent, still looks fresh and comparatively modern. I suppose it is due to the flat sheer and sleek coachroof, coupled with a reasonably blunt bow and no-nonsense transom. Anyway, the result is still pleasing to the modern eye.
Down below she is similar to the other smaller Jeanneau designs, with a semi “open plan” saloon, reasonable aft cabin and the heads to starboard of the companionway. I didn’t notice the folding doors to the forecabin at first – which is why I’ve added the word “semi.” A forward facing chart table is a nice touch, as is the compact but well designed galley. The saloon berths look seamanlike and comfortable.
The cockpit is conventionally laid out, with a locker to starboard and the winches just where you’d expect them to be. The lines all lead aft, and with the sprayhood shipped I expect the whole package is comfortable and safe.
Actually the whole design is pretty safe – no nasty surprises anywhere, and I suspect she has a decent turn of speed, especially with her folding two bladed Maxprop.
A really nice boat this, for not a great deal of money, so come along and see her – just ring me on 07885 521960 and we’ll get aboard!
