This boat has been viewed and photographed by Steven of Boatshed Falmouth. Register or log in to see more photos of this boat. Here is a project for the bold. Originally built to fish herring in the North Sea but sold in its early days to Norway where it fished commercially. Siezed by the Germans during the War, she was used as a stone carrier for sea defences. Returned to the Norwegian owners after the war she had a major re-fit and carried on fishing until 1960s. She was then used until 1989 as a bulk carrier, mostly transporting sand. She then ended her commercial life and returned to Cornwall. She now needs a major re-fit and would make a splendid historic yacht for charter work. She still retains her rather nice curves, particularly her counter . This lady hasn't drooped with age, indicating the strength of her hull. She has no engine but can be towed from her present mooring for the work to be undertaken. There are a number of capable yacht restorers in the Falmouth area who would welcome the opportunity to get involved with this lovely old girl. She is a slice of maritime history and now requires a sypathetic new owner. These boat details are subject to contract.Note: All offers on the asking price will be considered.
