It's ages since I've been so fired up about taking pictures of a boat! What an absolute joy this Southerly 28 is! Roomy, clean, well kept, she has a really great feel about her. Her saloon and galley are worthy of a much larger boat, and the forecabin is actually a cabin, light and airy, plenty of lockers, a marvel to behold. Her cockpit is deep and safe, lockers everywhere, a grab rail on the spray hood, handy little cave lockers to port and starboard, wide side decks, in-mast furling main. It’s no wonder Northshore have gone on to be one of the most successful boat builders in the world - with this boat as a basis they’ve had a head start!
You have got to come and see this Southerly 28 folks, she is for sale here at Boatshed Port Solent, and I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. With the running rigging led aft, and her trademark swing keel, this yacht will take you anywhere you want to go, and she’ll float on a heavy dew. I make no apologies for being so enthusiastic; I think I’m in love!
