The Southerly 28 was the first of the Southerly range. She is a Swing keeler and has vestigial bilge keels. Her accommodation is excellent for a 28 footer and her twin overlapping berths (in the forecabin) is a feature that is still carried on in the current Southerly ranges.
The Southerly 28 is one of the most popular sailors within the second hand markets. This lady is no exception to the rule. Her present owner has enjoyed sailing with her since 1994. He has maintained her and cared for her very well.
Her whole design makes your sailing simple and rewarding even if you are short handed, athough she has plenty of room for a crew to move around freely.
