Broker's Comments for Westerly Fulmar (1981):
This vessel is offered at a low price to reflect a number of significant defects, which are by no means an exhaustive list. A buyer should be aware of issues including a cracked exterior hull, stress cracking, chain plate bulkhead cracking, and some osmotic blistering. Unfortunately, there is no recent survey available, so prospective buyers are strongly advised to conduct their own thorough scrutiny prior to purchase. Offsetting these concerns are a series of recent upgrades from 2023-2024, such as a new, unused headsail with a recent forestay and furling system, a new backstay tensioner, and renewed engine mounts and seacocks. The boat also presents well with a June 2024 antifoul, a new electrical switch and shore power system, Selden spars, and a good inventory of sails. Power is provided by a reportedly mechanically sound Bukh DV24 diesel engine from 1981. Given the condition, the owner will consider all offers.
